Daphne Palmer, MD joined the Gene Upshaw Memorial Tahoe Forest Cancer Center after practicing at Renown Medical Center in Reno, Nevada where she was the Medical Director for the Department of Radiation Oncology.
A native of California, Dr. Palmer earned her medical degree and also completed her residency at UCLA in 1988. She then served as an Assistant Professor, Residency Program Director and Radiation Oncologist at the Norris USC Cancer Center. Subsequently, she entered private practice at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, CA until she moved to Truckee, CA in 2003.
Dr. Palmer is skilled in treating a wide range of tumors and has completed comprehensive training with experience in stereotactic radiosurgery, including SBRT, IMRT and brachytherapy. She and her team are most excited about the center’s new Varian True Beam accelerator, which allows for 4D treatment planning with respiratory gating.
Dr. Palmer is board certified by the American College of Radiology.
