Office Coordinator

Since early 2006 Office Coordinator Doreen Bechtold has expertly managed the scheduling of all consults, tests, and exams so that patients at Tahoe Forest Cancer Center can focus on their treatment and well-being. As she arranges appointments, she eases worries and fears by working with each patient personally so that they leave our office knowing they are truly cared for. Doreen handles her responsibilities with skills honed from her previous position as Director of Patient Registration for Tahoe Forest Hospital. She brings her enthusiasm for being part of a caring, and proactive team. She’s proud to say that because of the genuine interest she and her colleagues have for each patient, no one will “feel lost in the crowd”—a pledge Doreen will keep to each patient and one she knows the significance of first-hand having served as caregiver for several family members as they confronted cancer.

In her spare time, Doreen gardens, plays golf, travels, and has fun with friends and her dog Marley. She is also a mother of two and thrilled to be a grandmother. Doreen also looks forward to becoming involved with volunteer programs currently in development for Tahoe Forest Hospital patients.
