Oncology Staff Nurse

With more than 25 years at Tahoe Forest Hospital, oncology staff nurse Karen Aaron has made enormous contributions to patient care efforts, which have earned her a Nurse of the Year recognition. She specialized in medical surgical nursing and pediatrics. As well, Karen shares her knowledge with others as an American Heart Association Basic Life Support instructor.

Karen believes she makes a difference by establishing relationships with patients that help support them through their illness. The quality of time spent with each patient is very important to her.

Karen and her husband Bill, have two children, Matt and Sophie. They enjoy the out-of-doors, cross-country skiing and being a family. Karen speaks French, knits, reads and participates in the Humane Society’s Pet Therapy Program with her Bichon Frisé named Buddy.
