Kimba moved to Truckee in 1996 and has developed strong passions for the people in her community and the mountains that surround her here. She had her own full time practice for ten years doing massage and teaching yoga, specializing in pre-natal and sports injuries. After completing nursing school in 2006, Kimba started working in oncology at Saint Mary’s in Reno, Nevada. She then started working for Tahoe Forest hospital in Med Surg in 2008, and was honored to join the team here at the Cancer Center in April of 2009. She knew right away what a special and unique place she had become a part of. She appreciates the exceptional patient care and the relationships that develop as a result.

Kimba spends her time outside of work in the natural beauty that surrounds her – telemark skiing, skate skiing, hiking, biking, paddling and climbing. She loves music and even performs locally where she sings and plays guitar.
