Tyler Lapkin is a California Board licensed acupuncturist and herbalist. He is a graduate of Five Branches University in Santa Cruz, California, where he spent 4 years earning his Masters in Traditional Chinese Medicine. He is also a graduate of the University of California, Santa Barbara, where he studied history and environmental science.
Tyler is trained in both Eastern and Western diagnostics and methodology for understanding and treating disease. With a strong interest in integrative medicine, his study of Traditional Chinese Medicine has fostered a passion and belief that Eastern and Western approaches can coexist, and ultimately complement one another, to achieve positive results.
In addition to his private practice in Tahoe City, he works in partnership with the Gene Upshaw Memorial Tahoe Forest Cancer Center, helping cancer patients transition more smoothly through chemotherapy and radiation treatments.
Tyler spends his time enjoying the outdoors. He is an avid surfer, cyclist, and skier, and also enjoys photography, writing, and playing the guitar.
