Our Office will obtain your personal and insurance information. Please bring your insurance identification card(s) with you to your visit. A photocopy will be placed in your billing file. If you are covered by more than one insurance company, please let us know which company is the primary carrier. If you are uncertain, we will help you determine this. This will help to avoid any delays in processing claims. If at any time there are changes in your healthcare coverage, please contact the office to update your records.
We participate with most major insurance companies and will submit claims to your carrier on your behalf. Medicare and Medi-Cal patients are all welcome. If you belong to an HMO or PPO plan, we will contact your insurance company before your treatment begins.
Some insurance companies require you to use a specific laboratory or to obtain referrals or pre-authorization for office visits, hospital admissions, and treatment. If these are required our staff will obtain them on your behalf.
Co-payments are payable at the time of your visit. We accept cash, checks, Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express. We will be happy to assist you in developing a payment plan.
Services received will include both a cancer center bill as well as a physician bill. Your insurance may provide coverage for both services. In some cases, you may have questions regarding covered services. Feel free to ask us.
Please call our Financial Counselor, Ashley Vigano at 530.582.6477 or email avigano@tfhd.com if you need further assistance. Be assured that your confidentiality will be respected at all times.
