The Tahoe Forest Cancer Center, located in Truckee California, is committed to providing the highest quality cancer treatment and care to our patients. We strive to offer the most current cancer diagnostic therapeutic modalities, creating a Model for Rural Cancer Care.

High quality cancer care in our community is now available at Tahoe Forest Cancer Center (TFCC). With equipment and technology on par with urban health systems, TFCC offers medical evaluation, diagnosis and treatment, PET scan, CT scan, ultrasound, digital mammography, chemotherapy infusion, pharmacy, lab, in addition to a comprehensive physical therapy, family support program and psychosocial services program.

Some of the best opportunities for clinical trials exist through TFCC’s affiliation with UC Davis Cancer Care Network. Benefits of clinical trials include new drugs, therapies, and treatment strategies for difficult to treat cancers. UC Davis is a NCI designated Cancer Center.

Since its inception in 2006, the Tahoe Forest Cancer Center has provided care to the entire Lake Tahoe region and beyond. The community benefit of this important and growing program allows local patients to receive high quality cancer care close to home. The program is led by Medical Director, Laurence J. Heifetz, MD, FACP and Medical Oncologist and Hematologist, Ahrin Koppel, MD.
