Wendy Tylka has a deep personal interest in wellness and holistic health. In 1992 she attended IPSB massage school, taking courses in massage therapy. In 2000 Wendy began intensive study and training in therapeutic yoga modalities. Wendy graduated from Cerritos college and completed the Physical Therapist Assistant AA program in 2001. Wendy has worked in various settings as a PTA, including the acute care setting at Tahoe Forest Hospital. Becoming a member of the Gene Upshaw Memorial Cancer Center patient support services has added deep value to her life and work.
Wendy has a foundation of self-care, physical activity, and awareness. She uses an integrative approach for her view and understanding of health. Massage therapy offers hope and contributes to well-being through touch.
Wendy's background also includes various forms of dance. Wendy enjoys walking her dog, fostering cats, dancing, skiing, hiking, teaching exercise, dance, and therapeutic movement.
